New Home Means Twice the Excitement for Local Family
Wyndham Homes builds a special family its second home
Carmel, NY — For any family, building a home is an exciting time. For the Roosa family, the experience has been twice as exciting. This is the second time that the Roosas have partnered with Wyndham Homes to create the perfect house for their family. This time, Wyndham's "Details Make The Difference" motto has been put to the test in creating just the right home for the Roosas and in particular, for seven-year-old Elizabeth, who spends much of her time in a wheelchair.
The Roosas didn't need to be sold on the value of a Wyndham home – they were already living in one. The family first became acquainted with the builder in February 2001, when they moved into a lovely four-bedroom single-family home in its Laurel Farms community. Elizabeth's mother, Kari Roosa, explains that it was the total package offered by Wyndham that convinced her. "The homes were absolutely beautiful, the neighborhood was the friendliest we visited, and the Wyndham staff was extremely welcoming, and extremely helpful."
Wyndham, with its 15-year history of building distinctive homes and neighborhoods, offers homebuyers like the Roosas unparalleled construction quality and top brand-name materials. The builder prides itself on stunning architectural accents and innovations, and a meticulous eye for detail that makes each Wyndham home the perfect fit for every kind of family.
As much as the Roosas loved their home at Laurel Farms, they were ready for more luxury and a home with wheelchair-friendly features. Kari immediately contacted Wyndham Homes and was overjoyed when the team pledged to do anything and everything it could to help. Wyndham broke ground on a new four-bedroom single-family home for the Roosa family, also in Carmel, this time in picturesque Willow Ridge – a spectacular collection of timeless homes set just steps from Lake Gleneida. The builder has worked closely with the Roosas throughout the process, incorporating as many wheelchair-accessible design elements as possible into the floorplan. For example, the new Roosa home will include an elevator and widened doorways so Elizabeth can pass easily from room to room. Wyndham has even raised the garage floor to make getting into the house equally effortless.
The rest of the family will also benefit from the fabulous lifestyle available at Willow Ridge. Kari quickly fell in love with the community, "The wooded areas, hills and natural terrain make for a gorgeous setting with great views. And there are so many wonderful little details – the winding streets, the belgian block curbing, all of the beautiful landscaping touches – it's just an incredible place to live." There is just one home left for sale at Willow Ridge, and six at the luxury home community Windsor Woods in Patterson on over a hundred gently rolling wooded acres. Homes in this community range from the upper $500's to the $800's plus.
