Ceremony Marks Grand Opening of New Active Adult Community

Chatfield Farms officially opens in Beacon Falls

(Beacon Falls, CT, January, 2006) - On Saturday, January 6th, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to mark the grand opening of Chatfield Farms, a new 140 acre luxury active adult community being built in Beacon Falls by developers Wyndham Homes, Inc. Wyndham president Richard Schunk was on hand to welcome over 50 guests from area businesses and local government, and to express his gratitude. "We're glad you are able to celebrate this occasion together with us, on behalf of the community," he announced. The crowd enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather as First Selectwoman Susan Cable thanked the developers for being good neighbors as well as a welcome addition to the community, then performed the ceremonial ribbon cutting. A reception followed, along with tours of four furnished model homes. The guests' comments were positive, expressing their pleasure with the quality of the construction and the beauty of the designs.

Wyndham Homes is the creator of several successful and award-winning communities in New York, and Chatfield Farms represents their first expansion into the state of Connecticut. A gated community of 234 luxury homes that broke ground last year, Chatfield Farms features architectural designs inspired by local historic homes, and floor plans expressly designed for adult lifestyles.
