Best Of 50+ Housing Awards Competition
Wyndham Homes was recently named as a finalist in the 2008 Best of 50+ Housing Awards. Presented by the National Association of Home Builders' 50+ Housing Council, the Best of 50+ Housing Awards is the premier design and marketing competition for the active adult housing industry. Chatfield Farms was announced as a finalist in the Home Design category (size up to 1,700 sq. ft.) for our Andover plan...The project was recognized by an elite panel of 13 judges that included builders, developers, architects, marketing experts and other respected industry professionals. The panel chose finalists from nearly 300 total entries in more than 40 categories.
The NAHB 50+ Housing Council will reveal the gold and innovation award winners at the Best of 50+ Housing Awards gala on May 20th in New Orleans. The gala will be held in conjunction with NAHB's Building for Boomers & Beyond: 50+ Housing SymposiumSM. The Symposium is the leading education and networking conference for industry professionals involved in 50+ housing. "The caliber of competition was high this year, both in the active adult and service-enriched categories, and the marketing entries clearly reflect emerging trends," said Doug Van Lerberghe, the 2008 chairman of the Best of 50+ Housing Awards Committee. "It's obvious that builders, architects and marketing professionals better understand what today's mature buyers want and how to communicate with them."
